Immerse yourself in the fascinating history of education! The Dresden School Museum invites you to discover historic classrooms, explore old teaching materials and gain a vivid insight into everyday school life in times gone by.
Plan your visit and experience school as it used to be – authentic, educational and full of nostalgia!
You can explore our museum on your own on Wednesdays from 12:30 p.m. to 2:30 p.m. and Thursdays from 2:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. In each period room, you will meet experts from the respective era who will make your visit as informative as possible with their knowledge, advice and assistance.
Please note that our museum is a listed building and therefore unfortunately not wheelchair accessible.
If you would like to take an individual journey into the past, book one of our guided tours. Whether it’s a lesson from the imperial era or a maths lesson according to Adam Ries – we have the right concept for you and your group. Use our contact form!
We also have evening entertainment covered! We regularly organise cinema evenings, specialist lectures and themed afternoons for young and old alike!
Researchers are also welcome here. It is possible to conduct research in our library, depots and archives upon prior request.
